“After Your Bsc, It Is Up To You”- Nigerian Man Shares His Dad’s Response After Planning To Further His Education
Nigerian man named the loaded man on Facebook has shared his encounter with his late dad after he graduated with first class from the University. He planned to further his career Abroad. He applied to several schools in the UK, US, Canada and they sent him many admission letters which came with huge school fees.
The loaded man informed his dad and he responded with a smile
“my son, after Bsc, further education is up to you”.
The loaded man who has now accomplished so much abroad says his late dad would be proud of him.
Sharing on Facebook, he wrote:
“Shortly after I graduated from University with First Class, I was so pumped about the thought of schooling abroad that I went to apply to several schools in the USA, UK and Canada. The admissions poured in. Letters were delivered by several schools to our home address and I was always excited to read the prospectus. The letters had one thing in common and that is huge school fees with little or no funding/scholarships.
I gathered the Msc admission letters and approached my late Dad one evening. I had made his favourite meal, yam and garnished palm oil sauce. I was hoping the food would be a way to his heart. So I thought.
I shared the news of admission overseas with him and he listened patiently. When I was done with my hearty sermon, he smiled, looked at me in the eye and said, “my son, after Bsc, further education is up to you”. He would resume his meal and then it dawned on me, that it was truly up to me.
After that brief deep chat I had the wake up call I needed. The realization that no one is coming to save you if you are not making plans to do the saving yourself as an adult.
The big job will not happen by wishing.
Scholarship will not happen because you are good.
Japa will not happen because you deserve it.
Six figure salary and fat commissions will not take place in your imagination.
It is up to you to make that change. To level up. To step up and to live your dreams.
My father may be late but I am damn sure he is proud of what I did with the words he said.
Las las, it is up to you.
Follow who know road.
TLM”.
