Abuja Lawyer Shares His Covid-19 Survival Story After Testing Negative

A Nigerian man identified as Ojo Damilare has come out to inspire members of the public with his coronavirus survival story and how he managed to weather the storm.

Damilare who is an Abuja based lawyer, took to his page on photo sharing app, Instagram, to give a recount of what the experience was like.

According to Damilare, it took only seven days of staying in the Gwagalada isolation centre for him to test negative for COVID-19 after initially testing positive about two weeks ago.

“Happily, after receiving treatment for 7 days at the Gwagwalada Isolation Centre,
I have tested negative,” his caption read in part. In a second part of his narration, the lawyer disclosed that he was in the isolation centre from May 18 to 25. Damilare extended his sincere appreciations to the health workers at the facility and also thanked his creator for guiding him through the experience.

“Whilst I was at the centre having been picked up, my house was fumigated, car disinfected, impressive level of contact tracing and testing of all I came in contact with during a certain period,” the lawyer wrote while commending the efforts of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The lawyer also disclosed that a major watchword for him while going through the experience was positivity. Damilare’s narration was accompanied with several videos that captured some of the time spent in the isolation centre.
