38-Yr-Old Man Be@ten To De@th By His Neighbor For Hugging His 3-Yr-Old Child In Ogun State

A 38-year-old man identified as Mike Oje was reportedly be@ten to de@th by his neighbour in Mowe, Ogun State, following a disagreement over his interaction with the neighbour’s three-year-old child.

According to reports, Oje was hugging and playing with the child when the child’s father allegedly became upset and accused him of engaging in what he described as “rough play.”

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Friday.

Babaseyi said that following the father’s reaction, some neighbours reportedly picked up a bamboo stick and began be@ting Oje.

He explained that Oje allegedly collapsed during the assa¥lt as a result of the severity of the be@ting and later d+ed from inj¥ries sustained in the att@ck.

The police spokesperson added that the suspect reportedly fled the area with his family after realising what had happened and was said to be hiding in an unknown location.

The circumstances surrounding the incident, including the events that led to the alleged assa¥lt and the status of the police investigation, remain unclear.
