A young mum named Brittany Richardson it’s elated at the moment as she’s about bag a second degree. Sharing photo of her daughter rocking the same academics regalia during her first degree graduation, she announced her upcoming status with friends on LinkedIn.

This time two years ago, my daughter and I posed for my undergrad graduation picture.

I’m now a little over a week away from earning my Master of Education in Leadership and Policy. This is huge for me because statistically only 2% of teen mothers earn a college degree before 30 (a systemic issue I plan to work towards disrupting one day) and I’ll be 26 with two.
