White Money Opens Up About The Past WhenWomen Rejected Him Because He Was Broke, Says Right Now He Can Buy Love

Big Brother Naija Season 6 winner, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as White Money, has shared his experience of facing repeated rejections at the start of his career.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, White Money revealed that he was turned down by record labels, brands, and even individuals — both men and women — largely due to his financial struggles at the time.

He said those early setbacks shaped his journey and motivated him to keep pushing until he found success.

“I was denied a lot of time privileges. You know why? I know that I could audition for like when record labels want to open up and they’re looking for auditions for artists to come sing, I’m going to sign, I’ll go. They’ll turn me down. When I go for auditions for Billboards, for maybe all these brands, they turn me down.

“Even from the women, I got rejected because I was broke, I didn’t have money, I was just looking good, but I didn’t have cash. And you know, money and love work hand in hand. Currently, now, in our current situation, you can buy love. It just depends on your amount. You can just go to the market, price it. How much is that love? Like, 100,000? You can buy it.

“When it finishes, you renew it or you upgrade… So both of them work hand in hand. So I got turned down by women, got turned down by men, got turned down by friends. The only people who stood by me were just immediate family… And four years in a row for Big Brother, I still got turned down… but the fourth one, they accepted me.”
