“We Sleep Without Gates And Fences, Electricity Hasn’t Blinked Since I Landed” – Man Who Relocated To Canada A Month Ago Shares The Things He Has Been Enjoying
A young man named Anuoluwapo Ademuyiwa has shared his experiences after relocating to Canada a month ago.
He took time to outline the things he enjoys living in Canada, however he had mixed feelings considering the monthly rents bills.
Read his post below as shared on LinkedIn:
One month ago
I packed my bags and left for Canada.
I left everything and everyone I had known all my life – family, friends & community – to an unknown land.
To a land with unfamiliar roads and routes
To a land with diverse people, race and culture
To a land where everything is taxable and monthly bills are inevitable 🤭
But one, where we sleep without gates and fences
Where electricity hasn’t blinked since I landed
Where emergency numbers work
Where the internet is super fast and reliable
Where car horns doesn’t seem to have a purpose and traffic laws are obeyed without the presence of the uniformed man/woman…
Like every new experience, this too has been filled with mixed feelings.
I have gotten lost countless times (I still did in the early hours of today, 🤫 Lol).
Knowing that the money spent on monthly house rent over here will have paid for a year’s rent back home still gives me shivers🤐
However, I can’t complain, and so can’t you.
That’s because our goals and dreams will always challenge us.
To achieve them, we must think differently and be willing to embrace change without which they will become a burden instead of a blessing
Always remember, you are not alone on this journey and you deserve every good thing you’ve desired.
Go for it, we are rooting for you.
