‘This Is Not Nice’: Blogger Tunde Ednut Criticizes First Lady Remi Tinubu For Stopping Gov Adeleke From Singing At An Event

Popular Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut has criticized First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, over a viral moment at a recent public event involving Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

The incident occurred during the 10th coronation anniversary of the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi (CFR), held at the Oduduwa Hall in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The event also featured the installation of Senator Oluremi Tinubu (OON, CON) as the Yeye Asiwaju of Ile Oodua.

The moment that triggered widespread online reactions happened when Governor Adeleke, who was on stage to deliver a speech, broke into a gospel song.

In the trending video, the First Lady was seen approaching the 65-year-old governor from behind and publicly asking him to stop singing, stating that it was not what she had asked him to do.

She said, “I am giving you 5 more minutes to finish your speech. The music is enough, that is not what I asked you to do.” But he continued singing.

The first lady immediately came back and said. “I will turn off the microphone, stop the music.”

Reacting in a new post, Tunde Ednut condemned the First Lady’s action, describing it as unnecessary and inappropriate.

The blogger said, “Na wa oo!, which kind thing be this? A sitting governor was singing, and the first lady told him to stop, or she would switch off his microphone. Can you imagine? What kind of embarrassment is this? It is really not nice at all.”
