“There Isn’t Enough Time In The World For Chess.”- How Wole Soyinka Responded To Tunde Onakoya’ When He Discovered The Author Used To Be An Avid Chess Player

Tunde Onakoya is a Nigerian chess player and coach, who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon chess game. He recently interacted with Woke Soyinka the Author and Poet.

Sharing his encounter with the Poet on x, Tunde enquired from Wole Soyinka after hearing he was an avid Chess player, if he was still passionate about the game, but his emotional response was that, he doesn’t have enough time in the world for chess anymore.

WS: Yes. But I had to stop myself. There isn’t enough time in the world for chess.
