“There Are Only About 3,000 Billionaires In The World”- Nigerian Man Excited As He Runs Into One Of The Billionaires On The Street Of London

Nigerian man named Toyyib Adewale Adelodun has shared his amazing encounter with a prominent figure named Mo Ibrahim, the Sudanese-British telecom billionaire after running into him at the streets of London.

In his words:

“There are only about 3,000 billionaires in the world.

One of them asked me a simple question that quietly changed how I understand money.

He walked past me one afternoon in London.

I couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Dr. Mo!” I shouted.

He turned, smiled, and we spoke briefly.

When I told him I was working on a hotel refurbishment nearby, he asked:

“Do you own the hotel?”

We both laughed.
I moved on.

But that joke wouldn’t leave me alone.

Some months later, I became very intentional about money. I had to unlearn a lot of what I thought I knew.

I went deep. I even studied and wrote CFA Level 1.

And the lesson became clear:

Income is not wealth.
Equity is.

Wealth is owning a piece of something that earns, even while you sleep.

That is what investors, pension funds, private equity, and institutions understand deeply.

As we end the year, ask yourself honestly:

What do I own?
What is appreciating while I’m scrolling Instagram?
And what do I plan to own next?

I bought some Meta shares when they were trading at $99.
Today, they are around $650.

Warren Buffett said it best:
If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.

I shared a simple YouTube video breaking down equity investing for beginners if you are ready.

This new year:

We are learning.
We are building.
We are winning together. 🙏

What part of your money mindset are you currently unlearning?”
