Read her Testimony below as shared on LinkedIn;
I GRADUATED WITH FIRST CLASS HONOURS IN ARCHITECTURE
I went from almost not getting admitted in 2017 which threw me into depression at an early age to juggling the stress and demands of such of a male dominated course: Architecture. At a point, I lost so much weight due to the stress and lack of sleep, even to the point my mother feared for my life and suggested I change my course of study.
But I kept on because of my love for the art and science of creating the best and functional spaces for human activities which is divine.
It took alot but I was determined. God helped me through it all together with my family. Whilst in school, I remembered the saying, ‘Nothing good comes easy’.
Together with my passion for art, design and tech, I learnt Brand Identity Design which I peddled with my degree to offset some fees during my study. I really enjoyed helping brands get recognised and loved by their customers with a unique identity.
Now, I’m so happy to be graduating as the overall best student in my Department and entire Faculty even after serving in various leadership positions as well.
For everyone who has a dream and is facing challenges, keep the fire burning and always believe in the beauty of your abilities!
Karina also outlined the four awards she bagged:
