‘No Forgiveness’ — Eniola Badmus Threatens To Sue X User Who Called Her A ‘Pimp’
Eniola Badmus, the Nollywood actress, has threatened legal action against an X user who accused her of being a pimp.
A pimp is a person who controls one or more sex workers, arranges clients for them, and takes a cut of their earnings.
On Thursday, the user identified as Femzydr1 claimed Badmus is a “private pimp” who connects young women to “top directors, movie executives, and politicians”.
The user also claimed that she gained entry into the political scene through the connections and that some of the women were exploited as a result.
“Popular Yoruba Actress Eniola Badmus is reportedly a private pimp in Nigeria and in the movie industry, linking young girls up with top directors, movie executives, and Nigerian politicians,” the tweet reads.
“She surely gained entry into the political scene through this network, and many young girls have been exploited & used for different purposes by politicians through her connections.”
Reacting via X, Badmus described the allegation as false and warned that the appropriate authorities would take action, stressing that “no forgiveness in this zone”.
“This is the attention you’ve been craving for, so let’s get in to it. This is a false accusation and authorities will step in. Let it be known that we do not forgive in this zone,” she wrote.
In another post, Femzydr1 apologised to the actress and admitted that the allegations were “wrong, irresponsible, damaging” and made without evidence.
“I sincerely apologize to Ms. Eniola Badmus, her family, friends, fans, and everyone affected by my recent tweet,” the post reads.
“The post accusing her of exploitation, linking young girls to movie and political figures, and pimping was wrong, irresponsible, and made without evidence. I deeply regret spreading such damaging and false information.”
This is not the first time Badmus has faced defamation and pursued legal action.
