Nigerian Man Who Had No Roof Over His Head At 26, And Was An Undergraduate At 30, Has Achieved His Dreams At 40 As He Builds Solid Career In Construction, Travels Round The World

Nigerian man based in the UK named Toyyib Adelodun Adewale has shared his story on Facebook, on how he evolved in life despite starting late.

In his words:

At 26, I had no job and no roof. I was couchsurfing.

At 30, I felt “late” starting university as an undergrad while my mates were already doing PhDs.

At 40, I have built a solid career in construction, owned property, travelled the world, spoken on stages, and mentored thousands.

Everything changed…

When I stopped measuring my timeline with someone else’s ruler.

Time does not punish you. Comparison does.

Because comparison does not just steal joy.

It steals momentum.

Your “delay” might be your development.

Sir Idris Elba’s breakout came at 29.

Samuel L. Jackson’s breakout came in his mid-40s.

Focus on the direction, not the speed

In today’s interconnected world, you are not as far as you think.

So no more comparison.

No more self-doubt.

Just momentum.
