Nigerian Man named Francis Okpaleke on Facebook has shared a memory from 10 and half years ago as he recounts working
as a kitchen hand (dish washer) in the UK.
Francis narrated how his shift everyday was from 9am – 2pm at a primary school in Salford area in Greater Manchester.
And how he washed plate, pot and spoon till he got tired, while noting that his pay was £7.25/an hour.
Sharing further Francis says never despise your days of little beginnings when you Japa.
In his words:
This was me 10 and half years ago, as a kitchen hand (dish washer) in the UK. My shift was everyday 9am – 2pm at a primary school in Salford area in Greater Manchester. Ladies and Gentlemen, I wash plate, pot and spoon tire. My pay was £7.25/hour.
Thank God for those days, it was what makes these days worth reflecting on.
Never despise your days of little beginnings when you Japa. It is all part of the plan.
