Nigerian Man Pleads Guilty To Killing His Ex For Breaking Up With Him In The U.K

A 40-year-old Nigerian man, Adedapo Adegbola, has pleaded guilty to murdering his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old university student Steph Irons, after their relationship ended.

The killing occurred on October 21 at Steph’s home in Mapperley, Nottingham.

Steph’s colleagues became alarmed after receiving a series of “concerning messages” and alerted the police. Officers arrived to find her in the living room with fatal knife wounds, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Adegbola fled immediately, leaving behind blood-stained items, and traveled through several towns before eventually surrendering to authorities.

Adegbola appeared at Nottingham Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to murder and was remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing on February 5.
