Nigerian Lady Shares How She Landed A Job At The European Parliament In Luxembourg, Europe, Says She’s
Thankful To God For The Unmerited Favour She Received

A young lady named Oladoyin Olamide Dada has narrated how she
started a job at the European Parliament at Luxembourg as a Directorate General for Translation, Information and IT support.

Oladoyin applied for the job via LinkedIn, and never evisaged that she would come this far.

Sharing the testimony with friends on LinkedIn, she wrote:

I am not going to start this long post with the usual “I’m happy to announce that…”, though I am indeed happy and privileged to share this news.

Few months ago, I came across #Traineeship opportunities that resonates perfectly with my career goals here on #linkedIn, it seemed indeed huge to me as it concerns the #EuropeanUnion, I immediately almost waved it off because I felt I didn’t stand any chance as I am not European, worse still, I come from a country that people automatically #stereotype with negative things ; #Nigeria (no thanks to the news).

However, with lots of intentionality, I sent out my application ( for three different posts), it was a shock to me when I got two interview invitations weeks after. At that point, I told myself that even if I don’t get to the final selection stage, it’s already a big deal that I got invited for interview and I would be happy I tried.

To shorten the long story, Its been a month I started my Internship at the #EuropeanParliament in #Luxembourg, Directorate General for Translation, Information and IT support.

I am thankful to God for this unmerited favour I received. Also, I am Indeed grateful to the ITS team for choosing me amongst many other candidates🥺

Many times, it still feels surreal as I am the only #african #nigerian among my colleagues.
