A young Nigerian lady on Facebook named Oge of Plymouth has shared reasons why her marriage is sweeter in the UK than when she was in Nigeria.

She wrote:

“Marriage in this Uk is so sweet, Relocating here was a dream come through for us, it completely impacted positively in my marriage. We now have the best work balance that is helping us make money and still take care of important things around us. When one person is making money, the other person is managing the house, this means financial stability and you still have your life together.

We also have built a very strong partnership, we consider each other first, we face our problems together and find solution together because in this UK, its only you and your partner understands what goes on behind closed door. Infact, my husband job opportunities improved, no more stress and thre@ts at any slightest opportunity, we now have more structured work schedules, Job legal protections, this alone is enough to give you peace of mind. We dont go to bed thinking nor wake up thinking about whatever, we have absolute peace.

We can plan vacations and it would work out how we want it, not the one you will have plans, nobody will approve your entitled leave, infact on our wedding day, they refused to grant my husband’s leave in 9ja, even on his Dad’s burial, his friend that was supposed to be off had to cover up for him😆.
Our social life outside dropped, and inside social life increased. We are each others company, we hang out when we want to, Not when we have numerous socialfriends that will call you every evening to come so so place for hang out lol 😀 😉 😊 😄. This does not mean we dont socialize, we do but we socialize more in our house, just both of us and our lovely children.

It breaks my heart when i see only negetive posts about marriage abroad, i kept wondering why people just want to push this narrative. any marriage that failed here was already at the verge of failing before they came, it was not Uk that scattered the marriage, the marriage was already falling apart. forget online pictures. The people with positive marriages are much more bigger than negative ones.

Any man or woman that change negatively when they move here was not becaause of Uk, they are already managing themselves before now. If your husband have all the document that can bring you here and has refused to do so, he is not entirely truthful about that.
