Mercy Johnson Turns Author, Launches Book To Help Pre-Teens Prepare For Puberty
Mercy Johnson has returned to the public eye with the launch of a new project: a book aimed at helping children navigate adolescence.
The Nollywood star, who recently explained her absence from the media, announced the release of her book titled ‘YOU-berty,’ written for children aged 10 to 13.
The guide is designed to help young readers understand puberty “with clarity and confidence”.
In a recent Instagram post, Johnson revealed that her time away was spent productively.
“I’ve been a little quiet on here, but for good reason – I have been building, learning, and embracing new assignments,” she wrote.
“I recently wrote a book on puberty for children ages 10-13 – a heartfelt project designed to guide young minds through one of the most important transitions of their lives with clarity, confidence, and the right information.”
Beyond her literary debut, the actress is also pursuing academic growth. She shared that she is currently enrolled at the Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine, where she is studying Functional Medicine.
“I’m currently deep into my studies in Functional Medicine at the Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine. The journey has been intense, but incredibly fulfilling. Expanding my knowledge in holistic health is not just academic it is purpose-driven,” she added.
“I’m excited to have signed on as an ambassador for a new brand (more details soon!). It’s always an honor to represent values and vision that align with mine.”
Johnson also addressed her recent foray into politics following her appointment as special adviser on public engagement and advocacy to Edo governor. She described the role as “a commitment to service, impact, and meaningful change.”
“This assignment is one I hold with deep commitment to service, impact, and meaningful change,” she wrote.
“And in the midst of it all, I remain a proud wife and a yummy mummy balancing purpose with family, grace with growth.
“This season is stretching me, refining me, and reminding me that we can wear many hats and still wear them well to the glory of God.
“Here’s to growth, service, impact, and showing up fully.”
