officially resumed his position as a Doctoral student as well as a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Department of Biological Science, Florida State University, Tallahassee!

He shared the good news with friends on LinkedIn, read his post below:

Today, 08-08-2022, I officially resumed my position as a Doctoral student as well as a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Department of Biological Science, Florida State University, Tallahassee!

I may not have appropriate pictures nor words to clearly articulate the joy that surges through my heart at this point in time. But I do, however, vividly remember the period of self doubt, anxiety and fear that all came along starting from when this journey began over a year ago. And while I do realize that this is normal for all dream chasers, I do not believe it is normal to hide under your fears.

Today is for appreciation to all those who have been instrumental to my #FSU journey; my family, friends, professors, mentors (especially Mr Roosevelt Anyanwu) and most importantly, my beautiful wife. I want to specially thank my brother Tunde Blessed Shonde whom I initially met here on #linkedin but who has now become my foster sponsor in Florida.

While some other persons scared a hell out of us about the difficulties associated with settling in, you gave us hope and held us by the arms. Obrigado! I want to thank my other very kind brothers, Oluwadara Olasupo and Damilola Adeoye for the unbelievable sacrifices they have been making for my wife and I here in Tallahassee. I sure know that it might be impossible for us to reciprocate in equal measures your benevolence, but trust us to do our best in showing love to others who would be coming behind us.

Today, I stand up to say to all and sundry, schooling may not have given you as much as you wanted, but school is not a scam. And I repeat, there is nothing you want to achieve that is out of your reach. Dare to dream, fellows!
