Man Who Got Interviewed By An Oil Firm, & Got Rejected, Celebrates 3 Years Of Working At The Job, Now Helps Job Seekers To Drop Their CV’s In HR

A man named Kenneth Okonkwo has shared his job experience story.

Kenneth was interviewed by an oil firm but was later rejected even though he made it to the last phase. The oil firm called him back and he was hired.

Kenneth is celebrating 3 years at the job, says he has grown immensely.

He now takes CV’s from qualified job seekers and shares them with the HR.

Sharing the post on LinkedIn, he wrote:

My recruitment story at Rainoil Limited is quite an interesting one.

In January 2018 a friend of mine on Facebook posted an opening on his feed, which I sent in my CV for. I got called for an interview in February, I made it to the last phase in March, got rejected in April and they called me back and gave me the offer in May of the same year.

The full details of this experience between January to May 2018 was nothing short of the divine work of Providence. I am a firm believer that all good and perfect gift comes from God.

It’s been over three years after this effort of a friend gave me an edge and I have grown immensely.

I have gone on to pay it forward. In fact, as a personal rule I take in CVs of qualified candidates (review them where necessary) and share them with the HR team of where I currently work and my HR friends in other organisations who are in need of talents.

While some of them get shortlisted, others don’t but the critical part for me in all of this is that I consider myself a channel of blessing and great opportunities to those around me.

I have noticed that little acts of kindness like this could make the difference in the lives of people and keep you in their prayers. To cap this up, do not forget where you are coming from, in the end we rise by lifting others.
