Man Shares The Amazing Support He Got From His Wife After Losing His Job
“Just 2 months after our wonderful wedding, the company I worked for closed down, & I lost my job. For six months, I stayed home cause i couldn’t find a job that met my expectations.
My wife, a teacher, was the one paying all the bills and keeping our home running with her modest monthly salary.
Thankfully, I hadn’t borrowed money for our expensive wedding; it all came from my savings before we got married. As the person traditionally expected to be the main provider, things got very difficult. I had no one to ask for help and started using up my savings quickly.
Honestly, the frustration and worry sometimes led me to spend time & money hanging out with friends and drinking. Then, my wife sat me down and gave me the best advice. She suggested that instead of waiting for the perfect job and using up the small severance money I had left, I should use it to start a small business. She even told me to open an account and save a minimum amount every month.
In a powerful move, she asked me for the rest of the money in my account. I gave it to her, and she took the initiative to find a good space and stock it with a few goods. After 2 years of consistent hard work, my wife shared some incredible news. She had been speaking with an agent who had a proven, legitimate way for me to travel abroad within four months—if we could come up with N5 million.
I was short of the amount, having only saved N1.5 million at the time. I was stunned when my wife brought out N3 million bringing our total to N4 million! We agreed to provide the remaining amount once the visa was confirmed. She even offered to take a bank loan to cover any shortfall.
To make a long story short, it’s been six years since I brought my wife to join me in the States. We’ve been blessed with twin kids—a boy and a girl—since moving here. We send them back home to live with my wife’s parents so they can have a strong, moral African upbringing. We only get to spend time with them here during Christmas.
I’m sharing this to tell all my fellow men and brothers: a good woman is truly everything. If you are lucky enough to have one, please listen to her, respect her, and treat her like the queen she is.. Without my wife, I simply wouldn’t be the successful man I am today, with homes and cars back in our country.
This is my appreciation post to my lovely wife, Mrs. Nadia Orji ❤️
I want to use this opportunity to wish her a Happy Birthday and promise her that I will forever be grateful, stay by her side, & make her happy & proud, by the special grace of God.
