Man Shares An Heartbreaking Story Of How A Man Who Was Involved In Accident Password All His Phones And His Wife Had No Access To Cash For His Hospital Bills
While I was working in a bank, a woman came in crying uncontrollably. She wanted to withdraw money from her husband’s account.
When she sat down in front of me, she explained that her husband had been involved in a serious accident and was unconscious in the hospital. The doctors needed money immediately to continue treatment.
She knew her husband had money in his account, but there was a problem.
She couldn’t access his phone because it had a password.
She didn’t know the password.
She didn’t know his ATM card PIN.
She didn’t know the password to his banking app.
Everything was locked.
So she kept begging me to allow her withdraw money for the hospital bills.
But banking rules are strict. I told her it wasn’t possible.
Without his consent or a court order, there was nothing the bank could do. And getting a court order would take time she didn’t have.
She kept pleading.
Crying.
Explaining.
But my hands were tied.
At that moment, I realized something painful.
Her husband had money that could save his life, but the person closest to him couldn’t access it.
He had hidden everything from his own wife.
The only advice I could give her was to try a phone technician. Maybe they could find a way to bypass the phone password.
That day really touched me.
When I got home, my wife already knew my phone password. But I went further and told her every password I had, even the one to my savings app.
You can be married and still be too secretive.
Life is unpredictable.
Even if you are single, have at least one trusted person who knows important things about you.
If something happens to you today, will the people around you be able to help you?
Or will everything you worked for be locked away behind passwords?
Think about it.
Las las, we all go dey alright.
