Lady Who Got A Rejection Email From A University Abroad And Wondered If Anything Good Would Come Out Of Her HND Certificate Now Schooling In The UK

A young lady named Ugochukwu Ifunaya Abigail has shared her testimony on Facebook after relocating to school in the UK with HND certificate.

Abigail once became discouraged after receiving a rejection email from a university abroad, but she didn’t give up. Today she’s is student In the UK who got accepted with HND certificate.

In her words:

“There was a day I sat on the floor of my room in Port Harcourt, completely drained.
I had just received another rejection email from a university abroad.

I remember staring at my HND certificate and thinking, “Maybe this is all I’ll ever have. Maybe studying abroad isn’t for people like me.”

But something in me refused to quit. I told myself, “If others can do it, why not me?” That day, I picked up my phone and went back to research.

Over time I have discovered that some UK universities actually accept HND holders directly into Master’s programs.

I applied again and again —this time with more courage, more preparation, and a stronger personal statement.

Weeks later, I opened an email that changed my life: “We are pleased to offer you admission.” Tears rolled down my face. It wasn’t just an acceptance letter, it was proof that dreams don’t die when doors close.
They simply need the right door.

Today, when I walk into my UK classroom, I remember that broken girl in PH. And I smile—because she didn’t give up.
