Lady Gets Awarded Scholarship At Her Dream Sch Abroad, After She Initially Received A Rejection Letter

A lady named Promise Ekeh it’s in a celebratory mood at the moment after being awarded scholarship at
Imperial College London for her master’s program.

Promise who had initially applied and got a rejection letter, didn’t give up. She applied again as that was her dream school, and guess what? She got lucky this time around.

Dreams really do come true.

Growing up, I’ve always dreamt of graduating from Imperial College London. In 2016 I applied for an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience; after what I felt was a great interview, I received a rejection email (I’ve received lots of this in recent times 😀); it was heartbreaking and discouraging. For a while, I lost interest in applying to study for my master’s degree abroad.

One of my favourite quotes from the Bible is ‘as far as your eyes can see’, I held on to these words and applied again in 2019, and luckily this time, I got admitted and even given a scholarship 😉.

I was to resume in the fall of 2019, but for some reasons beyond my control, I couldn’t meet up with the resumption date, and I had to defer my admission till the following year. In 2020 the pandemic hit, and I thought I would have to defer again. But despite the global pandemic, I started my master’s degree at Imperial College, London (locked up in my bedroom 😔), and I successfully completed it with a distinction and recognised with a prize (London Petrophysical Society (LPS) prize)

Today I stand tall with my head held up high, graduating from the most prestigious university in the world.

My sincere appreciation goes to all who supported me through this journey family, friends, colleagues, and tutors.
