Kenyan Man Who Walked To Sch Barefooted On The Dusty Roads, Bags Masters Degree At McGill University Canada

Kenyan man named Juma Omala has gone down memory lane, remembering the days he walked barefooted on a dusty road to school as he bags masters degree in Public Policy from McGill University Canada.

Juma promised to create opportunities for other kids in his community who had similar experiences by helping in their pursuit of education.

Read his post below as shared on LinkedIn:

When I was accepted to McGill University, my Dad was truly proud, and happier for me than I was for myself.

He said He knew I’d do well. Although He didn’t live to see this day, I hope He is now Smiling in Heaven! Officially received a degree in Master of Public Policy!

To kids in my community and in rural areas in Kenya who have to walk to school barefoot in the dusty roads and under the scorching sun, like I did, and who may lack the courage, the will, or the resources to continue; there is HOPE, and I will create opportunities for them to help in their pursuit of education.
