Today in History
➡️ on this day 7 years ago, I lost my job barely 8 months in the role. Up to now I don’t understand what happened but yes, I remained jobless for two years
➡️ On this day 5 years ago (watch, this is 2 years after loosing the job), I was studying in London under the prestigious CHEVENING Scholarship and particularly this time, I was in Brussels as part of my academic assignment engaging with the European Union, Commissioners and MEP about Brexit and how it was going to impact the UK
➡️ On this day 4 years ago, I travelled back to London for my graduation at City, University of London and got my MA in Financial Journalism. At this time, I was Head PR at NATSAVE Bank
➡️Today in 2023, this is me at Electoral Commission of Zambia, totally switched from banking to governance and elections
Why am I telling this story? Two years of joblessness curved a path for where I am today. What did I do differently? I accepted my situation at that point and developed a total shift in mindset that somebody’s NO doesnt mean the end. Do I know what I will be sharing 5 years from now? No, I don’t… the plan is to just keep going.
