How I Wished I Had Become An Entrepreneur At Age 18 – By Elora Akpotosevbe

First of all my focus is online business. It’s so easy to network online and source for customers, on the internet.

But when I was 15 Years old, we didn’t ve access to phones and the internet, I would say it came pretty late in Nigeria.

Even though we were quite young, we might have business ideas, or might want to create an app, but we didn’t even have the materials on ground to work it.

I will say this generation are pretty much luckier.

The reason I would have love to become an entrepreneur much earlier is because businesses takes years to build.

Some takes as much as a decade. Imagine starting a business at age 40 and and it takes you a decade to build, it literally means you will start reaping the benefits at age 50.

That’s old age for me, there are a whole lot of things you just can’t do anymore when you turn 50.

If you start your business as a teen, before you turn 35, your company might have gone global already, because you ve had more than a enough time to build it up, you are more knowledgeable and experienced about your business.

You know the steps to take for your business to expand.

Below are two billionaires who started their businesses at age 19.

Michael Dell, 19.

Michael Dell built his empire at his dorm-room-based.
In 1984, while at the University of Texas, Michael Dell founded PC’sLimited, with a vision of how technology should be designed, manufactured, and sold, and worked from his off-campus dorm. Michael dropped out of college after completing his freshman year and focused on growing his business.

Just three years later, he changed the name to Dell Computer Corporation and began expanding worldwide.

As of March 2021, Michael Dell’s net worth is estimated to be approximately $45.4 billion.

‍Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg, 19.

Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook in his dorm room in Harvard University.

Mark Zuckerberg. He is most likely the top teen entrepreneur, even if he is no longer a teen. In 2004, he would change the way the entire world communicates without even knowing it. -The original plan: to create a platform for Harvard students.

Today, Facebook has over 2.80 billion monthly active users and has even become a platform that helps small businesses, as a total of 200 million small businesses use its tools.

Mark’s. net worth $77.4 billion.

If you are young and you want to start up a business, go ahead, what are you waiting for? Don’t let anyone discourage you.
