How Billionaire Businessman Femi Otedola Acquired Two Luxurious Mansions In Dubai After Daughters Request
Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola revealed he resisted buying property in Dubai for over 15 years.
Temi Otedola’s wedding to Mr Eazi finally made him splash millions on two luxury mansions in the Arab country.
The properties ended up hosting both the engagement ceremony and the glamorous after-party of the couple.
For years, billionaire businessman Femi Otedola stood his ground against acquiring property in Dubai. Despite a persistent agent showing him over 70 different options across the city, the oil mogul always walked away unimpressed.
But that 15-year resistance finally came to an end. It was all thanks to his daughter, Temi Otedola, and her star-studded wedding to singer Mr. Eazi. Femi Otedola reveals he resisted buying property in Dubai for over 15 years until Temi’s wedding.
Narrating at the wedding reception, Otedola revealed how a simple request from Temi changed his mind.
According to him, during a sightseeing trip in Dubai, the family toured a luxury mansion. Temi, who rarely makes demands, looked at her father and said:
“Papa, you know I can have my engagement ceremony in this house, why don’t you buy it?” After sleeping on it, Otedola had a change of heart. “Common Femi, money you spend is not yours. Life is for the living,” he recalled telling himself.
By the next morning, he called the agent and sealed the deal. Eight months later, lightning struck twice. The same agent invited Otedola to view a newly completed house on the same street.
Out of curiosity, he checked it out and found it beautiful, but unnecessary. That changed when Temi visited. After showing her the property, she jokingly suggested it would be perfect for her after-party. “You are very unserious,” Otedola told her.
But to make his daughter happy, he signed the papers and bought it too. Both homes ended up hosting some of the most memorable moments of the Otedola–Eazi wedding, with one serving as the engagement venue and the other hosting the after-party.
