Honest Nigerian Commercial Driver Returns $3000, Other Valuables But Gets Nothing In Return

A Nigerian commercial driver identified as Emmanuel Christopher has proved that, honest people still exist as he returned to the owner, an amount of $3000 together with passports, and other important personal belongings to a passenger.

According to the story which was narrated by a lady who knows the driver directly, Emmanuel “counted over $3000
and some other currencies in different denominations. There were three ATM cards- one wasn’t a Nigerian.”

However, his kind gesture was rewarded with absolutely nothing in return, raising the question of whether people should continue doing good or beneficiaries of such gestures are in a way obliged to reward people who return their missing items. The story was narrated by the lady called Lara Wise.

“Shortly after dropping her(the passenger) off he discovered he wasn’t alone in the car-a heavily studded wallet was seating pretty on the back seat. He wasn’t too sure which of his customers had forgotten the wallet so he opened it.”

According to Lara, Emmanuel managed to trace and hand over the purse. Responding to the question: “Did she appreciate you in any way? Did she give you anything?,” Emmanuel said “Not a dime mama. She was only crying and shedding tears of joy and she thanked me but the peace I have inside me has paid me”
