From A Manual Laborer Earning Urgent 2k To Becoming An HR Manager At A Reputable Organization

A young man named Samuel Bryant has shared his career journey with a throwback photo, Samuel who once worked as a manual laborer earning urgent 2k, has resumed this year January as an HR manager in one of the biggest professional staffing and HR solutions brands in Nigeria, Talenture Group.

The first picture was taken sometimes 2015 and the second was taken on the 9th of January 2023.

The first picture was taken at a site, where i worked as a manual laborer earning my urgent 2k 😁. Even though i studied sociology in school, i saw myself engaging in engineering activities. Come rain, come sun, we were all there working because we had to finish up our daily task in other to get our urgent 2k. Life showed me pepper, but you know what? i took the pepper, mixed it with rice and ate it. 🤣

The second picture was taken on the 9th of January 2023 on my resumption as the HR manager in one of the biggest professional staffing and HR solutions brands in Nigeria, Talenture Group

The past 8 years have been an intense moment of growth and career development for me and i will list out 8 lessons i have learned so far.

  1. Growth is gradual, it does not happen at once. It comes in phases.
  2. What you think about your future is what you eventually become
  3. What you continually say and profess to yourself is what you become
  4. Life is in phases, so learn the lessons
  5. You can never succeed in isolation; You need people to get to the top
  6. If you don’t follow the process, you may have a bad product
  7. Your zeal and willingness to learn determines how far and how fast you will go.
  8. God is the ultimate. Whatever you become outside of God is unbecoming.
