Fatima, the youngest of the three Dangote sisters, has steadily carved a niche for herself within the Dangote Group through commercial strategy and operational leadership.

She is currently Group Executive Director for Commercial Operations at Dangote Industries Limited, a role that places her at the centre of procurement, communications, administration and groupwide commercial planning.

Her remit includes shaping the group’s market approach and ensuring effective integration of strategy with execution across its core businesses.

Fatima’s journey in the group began with roles that exposed her to strategic planning and business development.

She previously worked as a technical specialist in the strategy unit and served as executive assistant to the Director of Business Development and Portfolio Management, positions that gave her visibility into complex decision-making processes within the conglomerate.

She has also been a board member of NASCON Allied Industries since 2023, where she previously oversaw commercial sales, marketing, logistics and brand strategy and these skills have become central to her current leadership portfolio.

Fatima is also actively involved in the Aliko Dangote Foundation. Her public remarks, including references to her father’s work ethic and expectations for excellence, offer insight into her leadership philosophy and commitment to performance standards.

With her focus on commercial excellence, Fatima plays a key role in the group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen local value chains, such as Nigeria’s sugar sector and enhance brand coherence across subsidiaries.
