Character And Consistency Are What Truly Sustain Fame- BBNaija Star, Rooboy

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Rooboy, has said that the reality show spotlight gave him a deeper understanding of fame and responsibility.

Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, he noted that the experience taught him the importance of character and consistency in sustaining fame.

“Leaving the Big Brother Naija spotlight gave me a deeper understanding of fame and responsibility. It taught me that fame is powerful, but character and consistency are what truly sustain it.

“I have become more intentional about relationships, valuing genuine connections over attention and surrounding myself with people who support my growth beyond the cameras.

“The experience also expanded my vision for the future. In entertainment, I look forward to showcasing my acting side and featuring in movies, exploring new ways to express my creativity beyond being a hypeman.

I also have a strong interest in the political space because I believe influence should translate into impact and positive change in society,” he said.

Rooboy also reflected on the challenges he faced before gaining recognition.

He said, “Before the music, nightlife and the spotlight, I was a young dreamer shaped by resilience and ambition. I’m that boy who journeyed from New Garage in Ibadan to Lagos, driven by faith, a hunger for growth, and the desire to build something meaningful from nothing.

“My experiences—moving from one show to another, struggling even to secure those opportunities, and facing the early reality of having no one who truly believed in me—tested my resolve. But those challenges, and the people I encountered along the way, helped shape my character and strengthened my belief in authenticity and purpose.

“Long before the stages and recognition, I naturally carried an energy that uplifted people. Over time, that gift evolved into the personality and brand the world now knows as Rooboy.”
