After Receiving Rejection Mails & Almost Giving Up
Corp Member Resumes At International Breweries PH
A young corp member named Happiness Umoh has shared her experience after encountering several setbacks when she applied applied to organisations.
Happiness who has suceeded is presently a
Corp Member serving at International Breweries Plc (PABOD), Port Harcourt.
She shared the good news with friends on her LinkedIn platform, read her post below:
Today marks my first Monday as a Corp Member serving at International Breweries Plc (PABOD), Port Harcourt. It was not an easy journey after graduation. I applied to lot of job opening, mostly trainee programs and entry level jobs but ended up getting none, and even still receiving rejection mails from some of the organisations I applied to😊.
I wanted to give up many times on applying but I never stopped. I’m grateful to all my friends who kept sending in job opening links and adverts.
Fast forward to June 17th, 2022, I moved to NYSC camp at Nonwa-Gbam, Tai, Rivers state. I was really scared of where I will be posted to, not necessary about if it will be a school or not but mainly the LGA. Thankfully, PABOD found me on the carnival day in camp.
Well, during the carnival, Corp members who studied engineering were called on to visit the canopy being set up by Hero drink. I’m always proud of my profession✌ so I moved to the canopy and behold I has the first female on the line.
Some processes were carried out. Afterwards, I was given a shade with Hero printed on it and a cold Malta drink(I really needed that because the sun was scorching).
Next, final day in camp, we were being given our PPA letters. I kept saying Jehovah with so much anxiety while the letters were being issued. I finally got mine and boom International Breweries Plc. I could not hold my joy, I was so excited.
Today made it my third day working with this organisation at the Pakaging department and it has been very interesting so far. There are so many nice people who are willing and ready to share their knowledge. I know my one year experience will be amazing and I would not leave the gate the same way i entered.
This post will not be complete without giving special appreciation to Miss Brenda, our first meeting was in camp on the carnival day. Thank you for showing so much interest in me. I don’t know what you see but I believe it’s something great😊.
Meanwhile, to my LinkedIn family, I’m very much open to mentoring and volunteering. I need to be mentored. I’m also open to new learning. I will so much appreciate if I’m being contacted with regards to the above.
Thank you.
