Actress Lizzy Anjorin Questions Anthony Joshua’s Mother Over Why She Allowed Him To Return To His Hometown During the Festive Season In Nigeria

Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has criticized the mother of British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua over his recent trip back to his village during the festive period in Nigeria. In a viral video shared on social media, Anjorin questioned why Joshua’s mother did not place him in a safer environment such as Lekki or Ikoyi.

In the clip, she said, “Anthony Joshua’s mother is to blame. She didn’t put her son in a better place like Lekki or Ikoyi, she watched him go back to his village for the festivities.

What reasonable mother would watch her son go back to that kind of place? Why couldn’t she put him somewhere like Ikoyi or Banana Island?”

Anjorin’s remarks came following Joshua’s visit to Nigeria, during which he was involved in a serious car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The crash resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates, while Joshua sustained minor injuries.

Her comments have sparked debates on social media about parental responsibility and the precautions public figures should take during high-profile visits, especially during festive periods.

The video has been widely circulated, drawing attention to both Joshua’s safety and Anjorin’s outspoken criticism.
