27-Year Old Ghanaian Lady Dies After Refusing Blood Transfusion Over Jehovah’s Witness Belief During Fibroid Surgery

A 27-year-old woman has reportedly lost her life due to r,eligious restrictions.

The sad news was shared by Victoria Maame Adwoa Pokuaa, the young woman—her friend’s girlfriend—died shortly after undergoing fibroid surgery because she refused a blood transfusion.

“This lady, Adwoa, is my friend’s girlfriend. She died today because her fibroid was removed and her blood level was low.

“However, she refused to let the doctor give her blood because she is a Jehovah’s Witness,” Pokuaa wrote.

She revealed that despite being in a life-and-death situation, the lady stood by her church’s teachings against blood transfusions.

“She went home and died this morning before dawn. You are Jehovah’s Witnesses, your condition is between life and death, and nobody advised her?

They watched a 27-year-old lady d!e like that because their belief is against donating blood ??? Charley,” she lamented.

Victoria further stressed that blind loyalty to religious doctrines can be deadly.

“No disrespect but some of these church things don’t even make sense!!! When it comes to your health, don’t joke with it!

“Forget everyone’s beliefs and do what’s right for you, because people will continue living their lives if you follow them and end up dying today!!!” she warned.
