Meet 25-year-old Tebogo Mokwena, the Co-founder and CEO of Akiba Digital

Tebogo Mokwena is best characterized as a multitalented individual, an entrepreneur, and a technology enthusiast who is devoted to resolving African issues.

As the Co-founder and CEO of Akiba Digital, she is a software developer migrating into advanced analytics.

In order to improve access to funding for small enterprises and underbanked customers, Akiba Digital is developing an alternative credit scoring infrastructure.

She received a triple major in computer science, genetics, and biochemistry when she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Cape Town (South Africa).

In an interview with the Mail & Guardian, newspaper, Tebogo said: “I hope my contribution to Africa will empower women and others so that they push the boundaries of what is deemed possible.”
