“The Place They Put Me In Prison, I Used To Pack Faeces From Morning Till 6”-Boy Who Stood in Front Of Peter Obi’s Convoy Shares Prison Experience
Quadri Alabi, the 17-year-old who made headlines after boldly standing in front of Peter Obi’s campaign convoy in Lagos before the 2023 elections, has spoken out about his harrowing experience in detention.
Recalling his time behind bars, Alabi said, “The place they put me in prison, I used to pack faeces from morning till 6. Some people on our street are targeting me, and I don’t want to go back.”
He was arrested over a street fight, but the case was later dismissed based on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
His legal counsel, Inibehe Effiong, claims the arrest was a setup orchestrated by local thugs in collaboration with the police to falsely accuse Alabi of a crime he didn’t commit.
