Nigerian Man Flies Parents To Lagos On Plane For The Very First Time To Apply For UK Visas
A young Nigerian man named
Zee Of Middlesbrough on Facebook has shared photos as he takes his parents on a treat, flies them on plane for the very first time to apply for UK Visas and they got their Visas approved.

“I did my parents visas same time and they both travelled down to Lagos same time for biometrics and all.
It was my mums first time in Lagos and also both their first time flying on a plane ✈️. They were so happy 😀
I tried to make the trip and whole experience memorable for them so I spared no expense lodging them in a really nice but expensive hotel in Ikeja that my clients family had used and he spoke so highly of.
Asked my brother to take them to Hilda Baci’s restaurant in Lekki to eat after the appointment and to enter Balogun market and buy their travel luggage sets. They spent two nights in Lagos and had a great experience. In part, that experience was a compensation incase their visa was refused, them go use the memory of the Lagos trip take hold body 😆
But how can I be a saviour who cannot save her own self? How can I put visa’s in peoples hands and not be able to replicate that same success with my parents?
Time for visa to come out, my mums own came out and my dad’s delayed. It was still within the standard processing time but my mum got hers in a week while my dad’s stayed on for like 2 weeks
During that time, my mum said my dad would query her why hers came out and his didn’t and is it not same day and same place they did and same staff who attended to them. So while my mum was already preparing to jet out to the UK, my papa never know Weda dem serve am breakfast and it was starting to affect him too 😆
You know what the Igbos say about onye n’adighi ka Ibe, akwa na Agu ya. Me sef, I was worried a bit cause e go dy somehow say dem give my mama visa and reject my papa, he might think I even did it intentionally but I’d never intentionally screw him over like that nau.
Thankfully, I was home one evening when I got his VFS notification on my email that I used for their application that his travel document has been dispatched by courier but each time I tracked the passport delivery it gives no real time update. It took about five days and one fine afternoon, my dad rang me on video call passport in hand and quite visibly excited, he said he got a call asking if he’s home cause they want to deliver his package but he told them not to worry that he’ll come pick it up by himself at the God is Good terminal in Umuahia 😹
Las las, he collected his own visa and I finally heaved a sigh of relief
That said, unless it’s urgent, to carry two people enter UK same time is not cheap and I don’t recommend it 😆
As for me, I got the advice from a mad man o 😹😹”
