Jim Iyke Reacts After Youtube Pulls Down His Film With Over 600K Views
Nollywood actor Jim Iyke is opening up about his experience after losing 600,000 views after Youtube took down his movie. Speaking about it and how it’s affecting him, Jim Iyke said:
JIM IYKE: We received news, and it depends on what side of the fence you see it. It could be good news or bad news. Personally, there’s no bad news around me. So let me share. Recently, YouTube got back to us to say our latest upload and recent film that’s streaming on Jim Iyke TV called “Light in the Dark” has a particular scene they’re not comfortable with.
And they asked us to take the entire content down, edit it, and reupload it again. Now that process for me, we’re losing our entire viewership. We’ve had almost 600,000 views on that former content before they asked us to take it down. We’ve re-edited it, taken it down, and we’ve uploaded the re-edited version on our YouTube page, channel. Now understand this. We’ve been down this road before. So those of you that know me know that bad news does not deter me. I just keep it going. You understand? My energy is always positive. Everything I do is driven and stems from a place of positive energy. So, please, there’s nothing for us to drag our feet or put our head down or feel something. I believe people don’t come after us. I don’t think that way. My thoughts, my moves are totally wired differently. It’s wired in positivity, it’s stemmed in positive energy.
So what we’re asking you to do is share, like, support. Everyone of you, those that have seen the movie before, please go back and watch it again. Support us to bring it back to the original viewership that it was before. We’re family. We’ve been through this before, and as a family, we always rise above it. I always rise above it.
If you recall, we had a channel that had over 1,000,000 views. Again, it was reported. They brought it down. They told us that there was a certain, you know, situation with it. And then I decided, let’s start all over again with a new channel and see what happened in less than a few moons. We built it to an over 4k subscribed channel, and we’re doing over a million and half a million per content. And I have nobody but you, my people. I’ve got to thank for it. So it’s not in the hands of anybody else. It’s always been in our hands. They can only try. So what I’m saying is, please go back, check out our channel, rewatch the movie. Let’s go back to to the viewership that it was earlier before it was brought down. Okay? These things, you know, there’s nothing negative that happens in my life. I sit firmly on the part of light and sunshine, and trust me, my energy is contagious. Anything I get involved with, one way or the other is always success. So even this, I’ve asked myself. While everybody was dragging their feet, I asked myself, what lesson is there to be learned here? How can this positively impact us? And I’m thinking and derived every lesson there is to learn from this encounter.
And so, I’ve asked my people to stop dragging your feet. Stop acting like it’s a big deal. I mean, there’s nothing. It’s the same people that supported us, the same people that lift us, and the same people that come back and do the same. And I’m deeply grateful for everything you guys do to support us in everything that we do.
