Kellyrae Responds To People Calling Him ‘Impotent’

Big Brother Naija winner Kellyrae is opening up during a new interview with TVC about a number of things including how fans always expect to see him with his wife, the decision to go into the house married, and some of the awful things he’s heard about himself including being called impotent. Here’s what Kellyrae had to say about it all.

Here’s how the interview with Kellyrae went:

INTERVIEWER: There’s always this expectation to see your wife beside you. Is that what happens in real life? Like when fans see you, do they always expect your wife to be with you?

KELLYRAE: All the time. Like when I’m driving, it’s the first question. It feels like they don’t even care about me anymore. Sometimes I’ll be like, “Bro, you just greeted me. You never even asked, ‘Kelly, how are you doing?’ It’s just ‘Where’s your wife? Where’s your wife?'” Yeah, it’s normal.

INTERVIEWER: Now, joining the show with your wife—which a lot of people count as private, like, “That’s my, you know, my private life”—but you guys had to live that on TV in front of millions of people. What led to that decision to come to that show with your wife as your partner? Not your friend, or your cousin, or your family member, but your wife?

KELLYRAE: If you ask me, I think what led to that decision is divine. Because I feel like if I had gone into the show with someone else, I wouldn’t be here today. Yes, there’s even a possibility that I wouldn’t have been able to go through the audition and come out. They wouldn’t have picked me, let me put it that way. Because if you check, there were friends in the house, then siblings, then a couple. I think they were intentional.

INTERVIEWER: Who initiated the conversation? Who started like, “Oh, you know what, honey? Why don’t we give this a try?”

KELLYRAE: I did. It was never her vision to be on Big Brother. Yes, it was never her vision. She had never auditioned. But that was my fourth time.

INTERVIEWER: Since leaving the show, has there been anything weird or funny written about you? Maybe a lie?

KELLYRAE: That we don’t have children because not my wife, THEY are barren. That THEY are impotent. I’ve heard that I’m a ritualist—I used our children to win the show.
