“She Secured A Scholarship With Google”, – Nigerian Lady Counts Her Blessings Barely One Year After Relocating To The USA
Nigerian lady named Adaugo Emejuru Ndubuisi has outlined her achievements after leaving for the USA just a year ago. The lady who secured a scholarship with Google, got her feet into corporate America and also secured a position in a very reputable institution that aligns with her career path says she’s grateful for her parents prayers .
Sharing a throwback photo of when she left Nigeria, she wrote:
“It has been one full year, exactly three hundred and sixty five whole days (infact it is 366 days because 2024 is a leap year) I left my entire life that I knew back home in Nigeria and moved to the United States. It’s been one whole year since I left my father, my mother, my siblings, my nollywood/TV passion/career, my very few friends, all my properties lol and touched my feet for the first time in the soil of United States of America.
I remember bawling my eyes out as I hugged my parents and siblings at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport in Abuja and walked away to the waiting plane that took me to Lagos before proceeding to the states. It has been a whole year of being a whole different world, I have laughed, I have cried, I have felt like going back home to Nigeria because this land seemed very strange to me at first.
But I am grateful and thankful for this three hundred and sixty five/six days.
In the past one year, I have secured a scholarship with Google, I have gotten my feet into corporate America and also gone ahead to secure a position in a very reputable institution that aligns with my career path and plans. I have walked into opportunities and opportunities have also found me. I have eaten weird tasting food lol, I have experienced a whole new life.
I am grateful to my parents whose prayers and blessings I took with me. I am grateful to my sister in-laws who have become the older sisters I never had. I am grateful for my relatives who although live in different states in this country have made it a duty to check in on me.
And as always and will be, I remain ever grateful to my husband who is the reason I am in this country in the first place.
I am grateful to my God for saying yes to my prayers and putting the wind beneath my wings. I am grateful to myself for soaring.
Cheers to many greater years.
