Nigerian Lady Based In Canada Reminisces On Year 2018 Xmas When She Bought Okirika For Her Kids, Says Poverty Made Her To Think Okirika Is Better Than New Clothes, Right Now Her Kids Are Tearing Off Labels Almost Every Week

Nigerian lady named Chisom Chigbo has gone down memory lane remembering hard days when she bought okirika for her kids during the Xmas 2018.

Chisom agrees that she was among those who used to think okirika is better than new clothes because it has quality, but she didn’t know it was because of poverty. Chisom who’s a mum of three says her kids right now are tearing off labels almost every week.

Sharing the photos of okirika she bought 2018, she wrote:

Life sha!!!!!!!
On that day I just returned from Yaba market where I went to buy a few thrift, second hand clothes AKA Okirika for my children.

It was Christmas time and I didn’t have the funds to buy good quality new clothes for them, so I had to settle for okirika.

I was among those that used to okirika is better than new clothes because it has quality, little did I know it was p0verty speaking through me, because tell me how used is better than new.

Right now, we are tearing off labels almost every week.

When it comes to understanding the struggles of an average Nigerian trust me, I understand it 💯, so when I tell you, your condition is not your final bus stop please believe me”.
