How I Balance Romance Scenes With Husband Who Is A Jealous Type – Uche Ogbodo
There is a lot that Nigerian actress and screen darling, Uche Ogbodo, has to balance right now. On a personal level, she got married last year to a new husband, Bobby Maris and is dealing with life as a fairly new wife. And then on a professional level, she still has a career as a working actress which she also has to face and give her all.
Sometimes, these two roles of personal and professional intersect, and in a new interview with Saturday Sun, Uche Ogbodo is explaining how she manages it.
During the interview, Uche talks about how she manages acting romantic scenes while dealing with a husband who is a jealous type, and then, she also talks about the sad ordeal that befell her store not too long ago. Here is what Uche Ogbodo had to say.
Speaking about how she balances acting romantic scenes while being married to a man who is a jealous type, Uche Ogbodo opened up saying:
UCHE OGBODO: I still shoot romance and kiss in movies but modulated. I don’t do that with reckless abandon. Although my husband is the jealous type, he understands. He is an actor too. He knows it’s not real. Just a little peck here and there, not French kissing. I don’t do more than that.
Some people presumed that I took a break from acting after my marriage, but that is not true. I have three kids. I’m not as free for every job as I used to be. Aside from family, I’m equally running different businesses. It’s not easy, I’m only one person.
Then speaking about her shop which recently became a victim of burglary, Uche Ogbodo opened up about the huge loss the terrible incident cost her, saying:
UCHE OGBODO: It was a huge blow to Body Gang Society Boutique. I honestly don’t like to reflect and think of the loss because I just barely started, and to have lost up to N50 million in a single year is devastating. My two shops were demolished by Lagos State government, one destroyed by flood; and now theft. All these losses for a new business aren’t easy. But I’m hoping for God to see me through. The case is in court now, I’m hoping the security company pays me back.
