One Advice My Husband Gave That Changed My Life For Good – Linda Ejiofor

In a perfect world, an ideal marriage uplifts both people in it. One of the major reasons why a lot of people wish to marry is so that they have the ability to grow with another person whose lives they enrich as the other enriches theirs.

During a new interview for Her Money, Her Power, Nollywood powerhouse couple Linda Ejiofor and Ibrahim Suleiman talked about finances in their marriage, and during the course of the conversation, actress Linda Ejiofor opened up about the lifestyle change that her husband Ibrahim Suleiman adviced her to make; and spoke about how she was thankful to him for doing that, and how it really helped her. Here’s what Linda Ejiofor had to say.

During the interview when asked “What money challenge were you able to get rid of due to your husband’s support?” Linda Ejiofor opened up about the lifestyle change her husband Ibrahim Suleiman made her make saying:

LINDA EJIOFOR: So, when we just started dating and we became really serious without the public knowing, he found out that I wasn’t saving. Like, I would make money and I didn’t have a savings. I had an account where money and salary would enter, but I didn’t have savings that I would keep for a rainy day or anything. I was just spending.

This man came into my life and was like “what? Wait, what? You don’t have savings?” He now sat me down and made me do the calculations of how much I would make in a year, and he was like “no, no, you can’t do this.” And so, he made me open another account which would be one for my salary account, and then I would take a percentage of that money and put it into the new account which I just got and that one was for never touching. That’s for rainy day and all. Then, that one that was for touching was for miscellaneous. I can use and spend. That was my money.

So yeah, I think that was one thing I didn’t know. I didn’t know I could do that. I just wanted to LIVE LIFE. But then, he helped me.
