On March 14, 2020, social media user, Demola of Lagos, shared a story of Mrs Joyce Dayser Adams, who lost her Auto shop in Wuye, Abuja, to demolition.

The autoshop, worth millions of naira in assets, where she goes about her daily business and trained females in auto works ‘free of charge’ was subject to a land use tussle. A court granted her ownership of the land and a restraining order on FCDA from harassing the occupants.

However, the order was disregarded and on the said day, FCDA moved in and reduced the thriving venture to rubbles, aided by a crack team of Policemen, VIO, NSCDC and some other security agencies leaving a distraught Joyce, heartbroken over her fortunes.

However, she picked herself up, set herself up again to keep her dream alive and later relocated to the UK. She went back to school, and graduated last month with an M. Sc in Mechatronic Systems Engineering.

Failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.
