“In The Midst Of Excoriating Hardship & Lack Of Good Governance On Every Level But Not To Worry Going Back To A Colonial Anthem Will Be A Soothing Balm”- Kate Henshaw Bemoans Nigerian Government

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has expressed deep concern for Nigerians through her X platform as the national anthem was recently re-adopted

The newly re-adopted anthem, which begins “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” was written by Lillian Jean Williams in 1959 and composed by Frances Berda.
Speaking on his first anniversary in office, President Tinubu said the anthem symbolised Nigeria’s diversity.
But many have questioned his priorities amid the cost-of-living crisis.

Amongst all was Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, who questioned how in the midst of hardship and lack of good governance going back to a colonial anthem will be a soothing balm for Nigerians.

Sharing on X, she wrote:

“In the midst of excoriating hardship & lack of good governance on every level but not to worry 😏 going back to a colonial anthem will be a soothing balm and inject patriotism back into our veins, a much needed drugs”.
