Young Folake Soetan is serving as the CEO at Ikeja Electric and she has celebrated four years at the job, the CEO took time to outline her achievements while at the job despite agreeing that they were moments of struggles too, sharing a lengthy post on her LinkedIn platform, she wrote:

“Today marks my fourth year as CEÖ of Ikeja Electric!

Wow, what a journey it’s been!

As i reflect on the past four years, I can’t help but feel a wave of emotions from the highs of our successes to the lows of our challenges.
But through it all, one thing remains constant: the incredible support and dedication of my bosses, team, and our customers.

There have been moments of triumph, like when we
-successfully implemented CIS and bilateral power
initiatives to improve service to our customers
-Substantially reduced our Aggregate Technical,
Commercial & Collection (ATC&C) loss
-Were recognized as”The Best Electricity Distribution
Company and “Most Gender Diverse Utility Company”

But there have also been moments of struggle, times when we faced setbacks and obstacles that seemed insurmountable.

Yet, it’s during those tough times we truly came together as a team, rallying around each other unwavering determination and resiliernce.

Together, we weathered the stoms, learnt valuable lessons, and emerged stronger than ever.

want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every member of the Ikeja Electric famiy.
Your hard work, dedication, and unwavering
Commitment to our mission have been the driving force behind our success.

You’ve shown me what true teamwork looks like, and I am forever grateful for the privilege of leading such an incredible group of individuals.

Your belief in our vision and your continued support have been the fuel that kept us going, even when the road ahead seemed uncertain.

As we celebrate this milestone, let’s take a moment to cherish how far we’ve come and look forward to the journey ahead.
