“Vanity Upon Vanity”- How Herbert Wigwe Left Behind Mansion Worth $15 Million With Same Land Mass As The Ikeja City Mall (Video)

Recently deceased Access Bank CEO Herbert Wigwe trended online as clips of his Lagos mansion leaked on social media.

The multi-billion naira infrastructure is a state-of-the-art, fully automated residential building situated right in the heart of Lagos.

A first-hand glimpse of the inside of the mansion has sparked reactions on social media, with many questioning the sanity behind such an outlandish outlay of resources.

The sudden passing of one of Nigeria’s foremost bankers and CEO, Herbert Wigwe, in a plane crash in the United States of America has sparked massive emotions on social media. Days after his passing, a video of Herbert Wigwe’s multi-billion naira Lagos residence recently leaked on social media and got people talking.

It was a three-minute tour video of the outside and inside of the 20-bedroom Lagos mansion.

Herbert Wigwe’s Ikoyi mansion sits on 23,000 square meters of land. This is the same land mass the Ikeja City Mall occupies.

According to reports from the engineering firm Craneburg, saddled with the responsibility of building the edifice, the mansion took them 22 months to finish.

Reports have it that Herbert Wigwe moved in late last year and was set to be his retirement home amidst his other luxury properties sprinkled all over Lagos. In a quick chat with popular Twitter real estate expert Suraj Oyewole, aka Sir Jarus, he noted that infrastructure of that scale would cost nothing less than $15 to $20 million.

Legit.ng confirmed that this outlay according to Sir Jarus’ estimation would cost 30,330,000,000 in naira.
