Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface reportedly flew his grandmother to Germany to watch him play for his club Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.

The former Bodo/Glimt star moved to Germany in the summer after leaving the Belgian side, Union SG.

The Nigerian international has since been one of the most important players in Xabi Alonso’s team this season.

The 22-year-old striker has scored 11 goals coupled with six assists in sixteen games in all competitions for the German side, according to a report by TransferMarkt.

In a viral picture posted by popular Nigerian journalist Pooja on X (formerly known as Twitter), Boniface was pictured with his grandmother on a plane.

The Nigerian journalist claimed ‘Boniface’s mum goes to Bundesliga’ in his caption for the picture.

The picture stirred a lot of reactions from fans, especially Nigerian football fans.
