My Relationship With Soma Not Strategy — Angel Smith

A recently evicted Big Brother Naija (All Stars season) housemate, Angel Smith, has said that a relationship with a co-housemate, Soma, was real, and not something she did as a strategy to last in the house.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, she said, “What Soma and I had was not strategic. I think that is an unfair night narrative, as that was not the case.”

On what endeared her to him, she said, “I feel we are pretty similar, and that was why we gravitated towards each other. It was easy for me to understand him, because we have had similar struggles. Also, he is a sweet, caring and funny guy. I am smart and I like smart people, so it was easy for me to connect with him.”

Speaking on the changes in her personality from the first time she featured on the show in 2021 and now, Smith said, “I had become a better version of myself, and I wanted people to see that. I had become more thirsty for success.

“My experience this time was really great. I really had fun, and I enjoyed it better than the first time. I gave it my best shot, and I think I was amazing.

“When one starts paying certain bills in Nigeria, one would have to automatically grow up. I became hungrier for success. And, I took that hunger into the house. I am sure that is why people noticed that I was more interested in the tasks.”

Asked what taxed her the most while in the house, she said, “I think one of the most taxing things I did was the final head of house game, which could have taken me to the finals. However, I was pleased that I was able to hang on for as long as I did.”

On her next moves outside the house, she said, “I will be going into agriculture. I will also be having the second season of my podcast; as well as writing a book.”
