Julius Odede bags Masters in Data Science with first-class at UK university, set to become an AI expert

A 35-year-old Nigerian man named Julius Abimbola Odede has bagged a master’s degree in Data Science with first-class honors from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Julius Odede obtained his master’s degree in Data Science from the School of Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science of the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Julius graduated from the university with first-class honors. He said on his school’s website that his background in Engineering prompted him to extend his knowledge in Artificial intelligence as it is the new trend.

He bagged his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the Ladoke Akintola University, Nigeria. Julius said he believes that the recent growth in Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers many career opportunities adding that if regulated, can be used for the benefit of humanity to solve problems.

“With the rise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) over the past few years I think there will be lots of potential for career opportunities. AI will change the way we interact with computers and machines if it can be regulated,” Francis said.

”But if it is used for the benefit of mankind, used to solve problems, it can help to make tasks easier so we don’t have to do the same thing over and over,” he added.

Julius said he has a strong desire to pursue a career that can make a positive impact on the world or involve teaching young people. He added that graduating from the university with the degree fills him with joy.

He said his experience at the university was amazing, stating that he had fantastic interactions with colleagues, and lecturers, and had access to abundant learning resources.

“It’s been a good journey so far and I’m so proud to have graduated. I’m from Nigeria and I have family members who have graduated in Nursing from the University, and in my country, we use the UK education system as a benchmark,” he said.

Julius offers advice to those pursuing their dreams, emphasizing that belief is key, and it’s never too late or too early to learn. He encourages everyone by sharing that if he can do it, anyone can, and he highlights that his university experience underscored the importance of lifelong learning.
